SAFEGUARDING
EVFC are committed to safeguarding.
We look to follow a set of principles designed to guide individuals in their efforts to protect any player or official within our club who is or feels vulnerable.
Safeguarding is a crucial aspect of ensuring the well-being of individuals in society. Safeguarding involves taking steps to prevent harm, abuse or neglect from occurring and it is essential that individuals within our club understand their roles and responsibilities in safeguarding those at risk.
EVFC endorse and adopt five key principles
- Recognise –the signs of abuse and neglect
- Respond – appropriately to concerns about abuse and neglect
- Report – concerns to the appropriate authorities
- Record – information accurately and appropriately
- Review – safeguarding practices regularly to ensure they are effective
These principles are designed to protect individuals who may be vulnerable due to disability, age, illness or other circumstances.
We look to create a positive, respectful environment where everyone feels valued and empowered to share opinions and make decisions.
We expect everyone in our club to share this commitment.
