Day two of the Over 60’s Four Nations Tournament in Spain and a 1-1 draw between England and Northern Ireland on Friday 20th March.

England took a first half lead from a direct free kick by Glen Alzapiedi and created plenty of chances to win the game. Northern Ireland got a corner with 10 minutes to go and after several England attempts to clear, Ireland eventually put the ball in the net to make it 1-1.

In the later game, Denmark drew 1-1 with Wales.

Tomorrow is a rest day, then the tournament concludes on Sunday 22nd. Northern Ireland play Denmark in the early game. 11.45 kick off, local time. England then play Wales in the final game at 1.45pm.

England are in pole position on goal difference – both they and Northern Ireland have 4 points. England’s goal difference is plus 5, Northern Ireland’s is plus 2. Wales and Denmark both have 1 point. Wales have minus 2 goal difference and Denmark minus 5.

So everything to play for on Sunday but at least the boys will know what they have to do, going into the last game.

Come on England!
