A 1-1 draw for England Veterans’ Over 65’s ‘A’ team against the Farnham and District League Over 60’s on Thursday 14th May in Buckinghamshire.

Both teams took the opportunity to look at a number of trialists.

Farnham took the lead after 10 minutes with a shot from Russell Lane from just outside the box. England equalised just 5 minutes later when centre forward Paul Mitchell swivelled to shoot home.

Farnham hit the crossbar from a free kick and then hit the post from the rebound but it was still 1-1 at half time.

England probably edged the second half and hit the bar and the post but neither side could produce the winner.
