A decent crowd, a good game and a fitting tribute to Derek Edkins on Sunday 12th July in Essex.

England Veterans’ Over 50’s Manager Steve Edkins fielded two teams, Roses and Lions to contest the Derek Edkins Memorial Cup, donated by David Lazell in memory of Steve’s dad who died last year.

The Red Roses narrowly won 3-2. Ricki Finning and Ian Hollamby with two were on target for the Roses. Stafford Browne and Matt Smart replied for the Lions.

Going forward, England Veterans’ Over 50’s will contest the Cup with Wales.
