A 1-1 draw for England Veterans’ mixed aged side in a charity game against Ashford Town Over 40’s on Sunday 26th July in Middlesex.

England put in a great performance against a much younger opposition and took the lead after 40 minutes when a Stacey Dawes cross floated over the keeper.

England had plenty of good chances to put the game to bed but couldn’t hold out and Ashford scored with 20 minutes left.

The match was played in support of Holly’s Heroes, a charity which brings moments of happiness, fun and joy to children and families affected by cancer.

Our thanks to everyone who gave so generously. £1,000 was raised on the day.
