A 5-1 victory for England Veterans’ Over 50’s against Celtic Nations Select on Sunday 20th September in Wales.

After a sloppy start, England deservedly took the lead when Paul Betson struck from distance after Ricki Finning had been thwarted by the Celtic keeper.

England missed a number of good chances before going further ahead with a long range strike from midfielder Kieran Robinson before half time.

England continued to dominate in the second half but to their credit Celtic Nations pulled one back with a far post header from a deep speculative cross.

This galvanised England and goals from Finning and then a couple of great strikes from Ian Daniell and Ian Gosling secured the victory.
