A super day’s football at Kirby Muxloe Football Club in Leicestershire on Sunday 3rd August with all England Veterans’ age groups on show.

In the first game, the Over 70’s beat the Over 75’s 2-0. Bill Darton notched both, one in each half.

In the second game it was a 0-0 draw and honours even between the Over 60’s and Over 65’s. Both teams had chances and Steve Edkins came closest, hitting the bar for the 65’s.

In the final game, the Over 50’s beat the Over 55’s with two late goals from Stafford Browne.

Thank you to all the players and management for making it such a great day – raising the curtain on the 2025/26 season.
