England Veterans Over 50’s accepted an invitation from the HLD Group to take part in an open age, 6 a-side football competition in Staffordshire on Friday 3rd October.

The tournament took place at St. George’s Park, the home of English football. Games were just 8 minutes in duration and the 50’s played against much younger opposition.

They performed well but eventually lost in the knock out stages.

Our thanks to HLD for their generosity and hospitality – a great tournament and a great day of football.

Manager Steve Edkins also took the opportunity to present Nick Clayton and Ian Daniell with their Over 50’s representative Cap. Well done boys.
