A 3-1 defeat for England Veterans’ Over 70’s in Leicestershire on Wednesday 22nd October against the Worcestershire Over 65’s representative team.
The early exchanges were balanced, but Worcester took the lead after 18 minutes with a well-taken goal. England gained momentum and equalised in the 29th minute when Rob Beel scored from a narrow angle. England dominated the end of the first half but couldn’t secure a lead by the interval.
Worcester started the second half strongly, scoring two early goals. England worked hard to reduce the deficit but were unable to convert their chances. Congratulations to Worcestershire.
