A great first day for England Veterans’ Over 55’s in the 2026 Six Nations tournament on Friday 11th September in County Down.

England beat Wales 1-0 in their first game with a goal from Stafford Browne and Republic of Ireland 4-0 with goals from Ricky Cornish, Steve Tweddle, Rich Alder and Alun Wood.

Games are 11 aside but only 50 minutes in duration.

In the other games, Northern Ireland drew 1-1 with the Republic. Scotland narrowly beat Bangladesh 1-0. Wales beat Bangladesh 6-0 and Scotland drew 1-1 with Northern Ireland.

England currently sit top of the table with 6 points. Scotland are second with 4.

Tomorrow (Saturday 12th), England play Scotland at 12.15pm and Northern Ireland at 3pm.
