A 4-1 victory for England Veterans’ Over 60’s ‘A’ team against Skegness Over 60’s on Saturday 25th April in Lincolnshire.

A very close first half – Skegness took the lead with a well taken goal but Dean Smart equalised from the penalty spot after being taken out in the area. Smart scored again just before half time with a brilliant header from a Gideon Umukoro cross.

Just before the interval, Captain Simon Mason was sent off for arguing with the referee, reducing England to ten men.

After the re-start, Smart got a vital early goal, completing his hat trick and increasing the lead to 3-1. England kept good possession and wrapped thing’s up when Chris Wyres added a fourth in the later stages.
