A super day on the east coast saw a mixed age England Veterans’ squad win 3-1 against Tekkers Community Football Club in a charity game on Sunday 30th August.
England took the lead after 15 minutes through Stafford Browne and the same player added a second following an impressive four pass move.
Tekkers came back strongly and peppered the England goal but the defence held out going into half time.
England came out strongly in the second half but it was Tekkers who scored first and were back in the game.
With 10 minutes to go, Chris Mcnaney lobbed the keeper with a brilliant chip to secure the victory for England.
Our thanks to the match officials and to Harwich and Parkeston Football Club for their super hospitality.
All money raised goes towards Audrey’s visual memories fund. Thank you for your generosity.
