A 3-0 victory for England Veterans’ mixed aged team against the Tekkerslovakia Senior Veterans Charity side on Sunday 5th April in Essex.

England took the lead when ex Colchester United player Karl Duguid slotted home after being put through with just the keeper to beat.

Ricki Finning doubled the lead by half time with a spectacular curling shot into top corner.

Both sides had good possession and chances in the second half but it was England’s David Gipp who scored with a close range header to put the result beyond doubt.

The true winner of course was the St. Helena Hospice and we thank everyone for their generous charitable donations.
